Working Equitation is a competitive sport, it is run in UK by The Association for British Working Equitation. It involves 4 phases, a dressage test, an obstacle round done at style marked like a dressage test, an obstacle round done at speed against the clock and a cattle penning phase. In your lessons you will be learning how to do the obstacles at style, this includes things like going over a bridge, an open and shut gate, going sideways over a pole, skewering a ring off a wooden cut out bull and more. It is the ultimate test of partnership and training, with the technicalities of dressage but made more fun with the inclusion of the obstacles. It is a great way to improve flatwork and level of training, with the obstacles bringing focus and variety. All levels are welcome.
